I woke up this morning with a heightened sense of urgency to make more powerful, more strategic and MORE PROFITABLE moves.
This requires focus.
This requires discipline.
This requires massive action and efficiency to produce greater results.
THIS REQUIRES FULL COMMAND OF TIME ALLOCATION.
I call this PRODUCTION MODE.
This is when I become so laser focused on my goals that I become like a machine.
Not that I have a lot of activities that would be outwardly quantified as "time wasters" like watching TV, going to the boat/casino, or getting wasted.
I do have activities that I love to do that support my personal and professional development like creative writing, working out and interior design. However, left unchecked, I will literally lose complete track of time and take my foot off the accelerator of driving the business forward.
Do you have any activities that when you participate in them cause you to lose complete track of time?
Trust me on this: YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
Every one of us has things that-AS PEOPLE-allow us to "escape."
I firmly believe you gotta take some time away from the grind to unwind. It clears your mind, allows your adrenergic receptors to clear, and often brings a fresh perspective to your situation.
But here's the reality: Left unchecked-you can end up wasting a $#!+ ton of time.
And before you know it, two hours becomes two weeks. Two weeks becomes 6 months. 6 months turns into a full calendar year, etc. etc. And when it's all said and done, you look back-and not only have you not made any progress-you're actually BEHIND, because while you were "unwinding," the rest of the world was WORKING AND PRODUCING RESULTS.
Sound familiar?
This is why it is important for you to take COMMAND OF HOW YOU ALLOCATE YOUR TIME.
Ooh-you thought I was going to say "manage" your time, didn't you?
Ha.
Time management is BASIC. But in my experience, "time management" keeps you in a passive role-as in you are now trying to manage time which was given to you, rather than you placing yourself in the Driver's Seat and ALLOCATING how and where you'll be spending your time.
Do you see the difference?
Time management is your waiting to figure out how to deal with tasks on a given timeline.
TIME ALLOCATION is your DECIDING how you will DOMINATE YOUR DAY.
TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MENTATIONS.
TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SETS OF RESULTS.
Let's Cut To The Chase-Imma Give It To You STRAIGHT: Time Is Your Most Precious Commodity-its the only thing you can never get back.
And like anything else in life-You've got to sit your fine little self in the Driver's Seat and DECIDE HOW YOU ALLOCATE THAT TIME.
Unfortunately, No One's Gonna Give It To You.
YOU have to carve it, and MAINTAIN it.
It's 100% on you.
So as we come off of Memorial Day Weekend, where most people have been on mental vacation since last Wednesday, Imma ask you to Triage Your Position in relation to your goals.
Look at how you're spending your time and ask yourself a few questions:
#1: "Is what I'm doing/about to do moving me closer to or farther away from my goal/s?"
#2: "Is how I've spent the past day/week/month producing the results I want to see?"
#3: "If I continue spending my time doing the things I've been doing the past day/week/month, where will I be 6 months/12 months from now?"
Be honest.
Adjust accordingly.
Remember-at the end of the day-You Can Either Have What You Want, Or The Reasons You Don't.
CHOOSE POWERFULLY. 🏆
