If Your Supplements Cost More Than Your Groceries You've Already Failed
Supplements SUPPLEMENT.
That's no typo.
IDC what the dude at the supp store, your lifting bro or the fireman down the street told you. Supplements fill voids in a solid nutrition and hydration program; they're NOT the mainstay.
Go ahead and roll your eyes all you want. It doesn't change anything.
IF YOUR SUPPLEMENTS COST MORE THAN YOUR GROCERIES, YOU'VE ALREADY FAILED.
When it comes to Nutrition, the ideal situation would be for you and I to sit down for a ____CONSULTATION____ and have an intelligent conversation about your goals, your current situation, and your perceived barriers in achieving those goals. Then we could accurately map out whether or not your current Nutrition Program is actually in alignment with those goals, and when/where to strategically place your supplements for maximum Gainz/Results.
*** But remember, I only work with the serious, the committed and the coachable. So if that's not you, then my advice is to keep reading and hit me up sometime in the future when you're committed to getting RESULTS.***
IN THE MEANTIME, Let's quickly pull apart some of the issues surrounding supplementation.
The Top 2 Reasons TRUE Athletes Supplement Is For More Energy And To Maximize Their Gainz.
Let's deal with the energy issue first.
Sit up in your chair, and lemme ask you a question...
What are the top 2 causes of athlete fatigue?

The Top 2 Causes Of Athlete Fatigue Are Insufficient Nutrition and Dehydration.

The Top 2 Causes Of Athlete Fatigue Are Insufficient Nutrition and Dehydration.
No, seriously. Go look it up.
Good-we got rid of a few more who are all up in Google right now. (lol)
For the rest of you who are still here, RIDDLE ME THIS, BATMAN...if the top 2 causes of athlete fatigue are INSUFFICIENT NUTRITION AND DEHYDRATION, what makes you think that adding another scoop of preworkout or creatine to the mix is going to fix that?
I know, I know. Kinda funny when you think about it, right?
Listen, ya'll.
There's always 2 ways of doing things: The Right Way, and everyone else's way.
No amount of preworkout, egg powder or Vitameatavegamin is going to give you that extra "oomph" if what you are lacking is calories, nutrients and water.
Yeah, you might feel all cool walking around with your shaker bottle and bragging to your friends about your supplementation regimen. But Sis...
At the end of the day, you've got to give your body what it NEEDS before it will allow you to make Gainz.
HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (and I'm gonna give it to you straight)
1) Your Body Doesn't Give A $#!+ About Your Goals. The only thing your body cares about is keeping you alive. Period.
2) Food and water are like fuel for your body. Their job is to supply energy to your body.
3) IN ORDER TO MAXIMIZE YOUR GAINZ (i.e. achieve your goal, get results, etc.) you have to handle 2 basic levels of energy demands FIRST.
In other words, Solid Nutrition (which includes calories, macro and micronutrient composition) and Hydration has to fill the basic energy demands of your body BEFORE they can be used for Gainz.
By now, you're certainly moments away from a quick Engine Search about these 2 levels?
Quick Peek and then we'll pick it apart in the next post (and BTW, these "Energy Levels" are a DeVincentis-birthed concept. Maybe someone somewhere else wrote about it, but I really don't care. My thought, my blog, my content. Google THAT. Sometimes I get so sassy...
THE "ENERGY LEVELS" WE'RE TALKING ABOUT ARE:
1) Energy To Keep You Alive. (Your heart beating, your lungs breathing, etc.)
2) Energy To Fuel Basic Activities. (Brushing your teeth, walking through the house or school, running errands, etc.)
3) Energy To Maximize Your Gainz. (Athletic, Aesthetic, Performance Goals.)
IT'S NOT CRAZY, IT'S PHYSIOLOGY. (Go ahead, Check me on it. While you're all up in Google, we'll be over here makin GAINZ.)
