Preventing Entrepreneurial Burnout

I'm writing this for all of our entrepreneurs on Memorial Day weekend, because I know a lot of us are working.

IDK about you, but there’s times when I don’t even know what day it is.

You’re working, and calling and networking and emailing and strategically planning and marketing and...and...and...it’s super easy to get into a flow where you lose track not only of time, but of self-care. 

Believe you me, I recognize the irony of my bringing this up.  

Me, the chick who spent her entire nursing career rotating days and nights, staying up for 48 hours at a time taking call and then going to family functions and straight back to work, working 12-14 hour shifts without eating, etc.  (HEALTH Care at its finest! Lol) 

For me, that crazy work Mentality didn’t get cut off when I left the industry.  My body tips into it VERY EASILY, and if I’m not careful, I always wind up getting sick or feeling like I got run over by a truck.  

There are simple things you can do to keep yourself running strong. 

These are the INTENTIONAL strategies which have always worked for me as a nurse with a RIDICULOUS schedule-and the same ones I use now as a start up entrepreneur. 

1)  CURATE YOUR ENVIRONMENT 

2) DRINK MORE WATER

 

3) GET 15 MINUTES OF FRESH AIR EVERY DAY

 

4)  PUT INTO PLACE A BEDTIME RITUAL

 

5)  SAY YOUR THANK YOU PRAYERS
