Saturday Straight Talk: The Lens Of The Ego

What's up, Ya'll?

It's been a hot minute since I've thrown down some Saturday Straight Talk; so without further adieu, let's get to it, shall we?

Straight Up:  All Coachings and Trainings-When Filtered Through The Lens Of The Ego, Fuel Your Justifications.

My Coachings and Trainings-particularly Champion Mindset Training and those aimed at moving your Station forward is geared towards individuals whom have what we call Right Heart Posture.

That is to say-it's individuals whose motives and intent are pure, moral, ethical and ultimately CONTRIBUTORY.

These are the givers and the individuals who are on the lookout for the best interest of the other person.

These are typically the people who give without asking (and often to excess) and often place themselves on the back burners.

These are also the people with a strong work ethic through and through and PRODUCE RESULTS without expectation of recognition, affirmation, praise or even reward from anyone.  They are actively pursuing a life of integrity and excellence; working furiously to sew together the seams of their aspirations, words and actions.

Everything they do comes from a Vector of Love.  They're vested in improvement, and despite making errors in judgement~ are honestly putting it all on the line to make right those errors AND Course Correct flaws in character.

Now I've been coaching and training people a long time.

I am aware that my words appeal to a wide range of people-including people on the OPPOSITE end of the spectrum:  those with IMPROPERLY Postured Hearts.

These are the individuals who use my words to advance their agendas, initiatives and other doings which are NOT Rooted In Good.

The individuals whose root performance and character qualities are corrupt.

These are the takers in life.  These are the people who operate in Consumption Mode, live off the fat of the land, and believe they are entitled to it.

These are not just the criminals and hoodlums of the world-these are also the people who, on the surface appear to be one way, but when their mask falls off-watch out

They are at their core:  lazy, self-centered, and manipulative.  They twist the truth, have a skewed value system and are potentially void of a moral compass.

They may lie, cheat, cajole and utilize my teachings/statements for no other purpose than their self-aggrandizement.

And to that I say:  There is nothing I alone will be able to do about that, other than wait for Auntie Karma to come back for a lengthy visit.

Can I appeal to their Higher Side?

Yes.

Can I build a case for action and inject a means to convict their heart?

Of course.

But at the end of the day:  We are all given a Free Will.

We can either choose to face ourselves, surrender our egos and become a True Student again; or we can choose to hide from ourselves, using the ego as a shield to stay rooted in the Garden of Darkness.

Here's The Good News:  Whichever end of the spectrum in your heart of hearts you know yourself to be, I maintain my position as The Coach and Founder of this Academy that two Guiding Principles are inherently true:

  1. I believe that humankind is DESIGNED for self-improvement

  2. It's NEVER too late to Course Correct

Does that mean you automatically earn my trust?  No.

Does that mean I extend endless opportunities and allow you to hang around when your actions, excuses and justifications come from a place of pride, ego and an  uncoachable spirit?  Absolutely not.

My standards may turn you off.  You're certainly not the first person to tell me that.  The one thing you'll come to learn about me REAL QUICK is that kickin rocks, being average, and taking the easy way out to fit in with whatever everyone else is doing  violates everything I stand for.

And be advised:  I am not above them.  Those standards are an endless stretch for me, too.

Just when I think I've got $#!+ all lined up and butter tight, BAM!  There's another "pop-up storm" of a break in integrity, or some oversight/mistake staring me in my face.

None of us are perfect.   We've all made mistakes and have wandered far off of our paths.

But we all have the option to look at ourselves objectively and not only recognize when our $#!+ no longer serves us; but ADMIT IT.

It all boils down to one thing:  DECISION.

The DECISION to grow, evolve, surrender the ego and risk looking stupid, or the DECISION to justify staying the same.

The Choice Is Yours.

CHOOSE POWERFULLY.
