The Biggest Nutrition Mistake Women Make
The biggest mistake I see women make with their nutrition is EXTREMISM.
Majorly cutting calories, drastically reducing carb and fat intake; and ultimately creating a nutritionally empty diet-void of the very foods which keep us energized and vibrant.
That extremism in dieting works for the short term-but let's face it-any benefits derived come with an expense. You eventually start feeling awful, your moods have the explosive volatility of a volcano, and then one day you find yourself diving face-first into a bowl of Goldfish crackers and drinking brownie batter.
Does that sound like anything you've done?
I know, because for years, I did it, too!!
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW, GIRLS:
Those habits eventually lead to a slowing down of your metabolism and erode your naturally beautiful feminine features.
How Many Of These Have You Experienced?
* Plateau in your attempts at weight loss
* Feeling moody, discouraged and frustrated
* Brittle nails, loss of hair sheen, hair loss
* Poor sleep
* Constipation
* Menstrual irregularities
* Loss of skin vibrancy
These can all be signs of a metabolism that is screaming for attention.
When Dealing With Your Metabolism, It Is Often Helpful To Consider It As A Relationship.
Bouncing back and forth between all on or all off, or extreme deprivation causes your metabolism to distrust you. And just like any other relationship, if there is no trust, the relationship will wither and die.
I found that when you curate the relationship with your metabolism with the same degree of care that you would with any of your loved ones, you free yourself from the pressures and anxiety of "dieting" (and it actually helps you release fat from your body FAR easier!).
Here Are Two Super Strategies To Help You Establish Trust And Normalcy With Your Metabolism:
1) Focus on Hydration And Nourishing Your Body.
Feed your body what it needs along with plenty of water. When you give your body the nutrients and water it needs, you allow your body to do what it does best: run like a high performance machine. You've got to spark your metabolism from the inside before you ever see physical changes on the outside. This is accomplished with NOURISHMENT, adequate calories and hydration.
2) Eat A Sensible Meal Every 3-4 Hours.
Good Nutrition Is More Than WHAT You Eat, It's also HOW you eat. Regular Meal Frequency trains your metabolism to trust that you will feed it again at an expected time. When your metabolism is confident you will not deprive it, it is more likely to burn any food you eat as fuel, rather than hold onto it as stored fat.
