Your Nutritional A-ha Moment

Ever wonder what the “secret sauce” of good nutrition is?

Have you ever asked yourself, “How many calories should I be eating?”

Or “ Are carbs REALLY that bad for me?”

Or “What should I eat to get that lean, fit body?”

How your body needs to be fueled is highly individualized.  There's A LOT to consider such as:

The current state of your metabolism

How much muscle mass you have

How much bodyfat you have

How active you are (mentally and physically)

The intensity at which you train

What medications you take

What supplements you take

The current state of your thyroid and your adrenal glands

Whether or not your body efficiently uses insulin

Your underlying body type

How much quality sleep you get

Your occupation

Your expectations, habits, beliefs AND circle of influence (that's not a typo.  This one deserves an entire CHAPTER.)

 Stress adaptivity

And since you are a human-not a robot- how often you bounce around the above issues

As I said, there's  A LOT that goes into what foods fuel YOUR body the best, and what the best strategies to do that are.

It would be largely IRRESPONSIBLE of me to rattle off a cookie cutter "how-to" plan without knowing all of your unique variables,  because there is no blanket statement that will suit 100% of the people reading this 100% of the time.

Here’s What I will tell you:  Everything Works; Nothing Doesn’t.

Ya gotta start somewhere and stay the line day in and day out WITH CONSISTENCY to get (and KEEP!) any kind of results.

Let’s face it:  We all know what we should be eating.

The question is WHY AREN’T YOU DOING IT?

Now don’t worry, we’re not about to spout off a bunch of things that delve deep into your inner workings and are best expressed as Couch Time with your therapist.

THIS IS COACHING.

This is my equipping you with a POWERFUL tool you can use to increase your accountability and consistency as you navigate the Nutritional Ocean.

Let’s call this your “Nutritional A-Ha Moment.”

One of the reasons why people fail when it comes to their Nutrition, is that a solid Nutrition Program is more than just WHAT you eat.  A solid Nutrition Program is actually a Training Program onto itself, and consists of MANY HABITS-most of which have never been practiced before.

And like any other habit, it takes time to replace stale habits with fresh ones!

How long? Is it 21 Days?  30?  90?

The answer is:  It takes as long as you make it take.

Practice it all the time, you’ll Master it quicker.

Practice it once in a Blue Moon, and it’ll take you a long time.

Here’s What Helps Our Athletes Stay Committed And On Track With Their Nutrition Program:

Our Athletes view their Nutrition Program as a Training Program onto itself and make it a game to see how quickly they can get it all into place.  Seriously!  Way more fun, too!

They approach it exactly like they approach their Workouts:  Focused and Mindful Of What They’re Doing So They Get The Results They Want.

They’re very mindful that they’re training to develop the habits of Solid Nutrition such as Planning, Grocery Shopping, Bulk Cooking, Meal Prep and Meal Timing just to name a few.

They break each one of these down into bite sized pieces that they can easily digest, and practice them over and over til it becomes a normal part of their routine.

Then they and fuel it with a healthy dose of competitive drive, because they’re very aware that if they dilly-dally through the training, the RESULTS will dilly-dally their way to them.

The focus is never on the food, the focus is on mastery of the habits.

EUREKA!

Flip the script of what you’re doing, and watch how your world changes.
